This summer at The Plant Academy we’re very excited to launch our first programme of workshops for children! These hands on fun-filled sessions will run from 10am to 3pm (with additional care available till 4.30pm) on the following dates: 

24 & 25 July 

7 & 8 August

Single sessions or a week long block of sessions can be booked at early bird prices now till the end of June. 

Designed to  inspire a passion for plants through creative classes focused on enjoying the rainbow of fruits and vegetables, healthier sweet treats and balanced eating. Each day there will be lunch, snacks and treats to bring home.


Tuesday: Eat the rainbow and healthy sweet treats

10:00- 12:00 - Eat the rainbow

An introduction to plant based eating and celebrating the season. Starting with seasonal smoothies and an intro into colourful plant based eating.Students will make rainbow rice paper rolls full of veggies and a great selection of dips.

12-1:00 lunch

1:00-3:00 - sweet treats in the afternoon. Plant based cupcakes

WednesdayA balanced Plant-based plate

10:00- 12 - Balanced meals.

Plants, grains, healthy fats and seeds.

12-1:00 lunch

1:00-3:00 - celebration of British fruits with fruity ice lollies to take home

Talking about plant food for the mind body and soul

Savoury pancakes with vibrant vegetable fillings

Our teachers

Sonal Ambasana is the Founder of Nourish - Food for Life and a Nutrition & Wellness Coach on a mission to educate, empower and support families to eat well and live better. She's passionate about inspiring the joy of cooking in little people (and big people!) and runs regular workshops demonstrating just how delicious nourishing food can be. Sonal also works with clients on a 1:1 basis to achieve their food goals. 

Nena Foster is a trained Natural Chef (College of Naturopathic Medicine). she left a career in policy consulting to pursue a career in food working as a chef, cookery and fermentation teacher, recipe developer, food and nutrition writer as well as a food stylist.

A mother with a passion and curiosity for new ways of preparing food with a health focussed twist. Working with families and children to inspire more plant based cooking


These classes are aimed at children from 7 - 12 years old with no cookery experience required.
